William E. Groves was employed by the Kentucky Utilities Corporation for over 20 years and worked as a lineman and superintendent performing line construction and service work in the Western Kentucky district.  he founded Wm. E. Groves Construction Inc. in 1972 and began his work predominately as a powerline contractor.  Groves Construction quickly built the reputation of being the safest, hardest working and most knowledgeable contractor in the Western Kentucky area.  Over the years, Groves Construction has developed into a completely diversified electrical contractor, with the ability to perform all types of electrical work and maintenance.  the Powerline Division is still the backbone to the company's entire operations.

Along with the hardest working employees in the business, Groves Construction has special construction equipment to help it get the job done safely and productively.  Groves Construction owns and operates over 150 pieces of construction equipment.
